Nestled in a charmingly petite storefront on Washington Blvd in Culver City, carbohydrate-haven Red Bread is an organic kitchen and e-grocer that places emphasis on social justice, sustainable farming, the proliferation of nutritional knowledge, and natural organic ingredients.  To top it off, they also bake endlessly delicious bread.  Their Black Bread, which was voted "Best Rye in Los Angeles" by the Los Angeles Times, is spectacular both on its own, or as the base of a homemade open-faced house cured gravlax sandwich, and their indulgent “PopTart” hand pies will leave you incapable of ever returning to the mass-produced Kellogg's alternative.  Five percent of every sale at Red Bread is donated to the LA Food Bank, and if you can't make it to their market, be sure to stop by their regular Wednesday stall at the Santa Monica Farmers Market (or if you live within their delivery zone, sign up for their Sunday morning electric bicycle grocery service)!
