Brunch is probably my favorite meal -- how can you pass up an opportunity for savory goodness paired with dessert-like sweets! -- and one of my favorite local spots is Mud Hen Tavern.  Formerly the location of Susan Feineger's Street, which had a casually stylish approach to various global "street foods," Feineger converted the space into the homey, in her words "neighborhood place" that is now Mud Hen Tavern. Staples like Street's famed Singaporean and Malaysian Kaya Toast can still be found on both the main and brunch menu, and clever takes on deviled eggs (called "Green Eggs & Ham," and topped with green chile salsa and bacon bits) and spectacular beef brisket hash with horseradish cream make it easy to roll out of bed, order a  "Get Up Offa That Brown" ale, and indulge in a perfect brunch with good friends.
