Death by Chocolate Birthday Cake

This weekend marked my boyfriend's 30th birthday, and to celebrate, I whipped up a double chocolate cake recipe courtesy of Ina Garten (and hit the frosting with a bit more than the recommended amount of coffee, just to give it an extra punch!).  The result was a perfect Death by Chocolate birthday cake that had just the right buttery, chocolatey richness to ease my fella into his 30's with minimal complaint.
