Olson's Scandinavian Delicatessen

Located on Pico in Mid-City Los Angeles, Olson's Scandinavian Deli has the near ability to transport you to the cobbled streets of old Stockholm -- and the genuine Swedes who both flock to and run the shop certainly don't hurt.  A dark, freshly brewed cup of Gevalia coffee is the natural must-have while deciding between their Swedish meatball or shrimp brioche sandwiches (albeit slightly Americanized and served on full buns rather than open-faced), as well as their gorgeous cream-filled Semla buns, traditionally made and served from Christmas through Lent.  Quite the easy place to impulse buy a handy jar of Lingonberries or Lars condiments!
