Momofuku Milk Bar's (Spooky) Confetti Cookies
I find that baking any of Momofuku Milk Bar's delightfully intricate recipes (many of which involve completing additional, variously complicated recipes in advance - like Cereal Milk or Cake Crumbs) is always a labor of love, and their crispy Confetti Cookies are one of my favorites. Filled with "Birthday Cake Crumb" clusters that create a bright (or dark and spooky, in my case) burst of color when you bite into them, it's apparent that pastry chef Christina Tosi's creativity and detailed care are wonderfully conveyed through the pages of her cookbook. If you'd rather let the masters do the heavy lifting themselves, the cookies (and a bounty of other Milk Bar goodies) are also available for purchase on the store's fantastic website!
