The Pikey
I love cultivating an on-going collection of wonderful, go-to British restaurants and pubs, and The Pikey is just that for me. I’ve enjoyed Chef Ralph Johnson’s fare more times than I can count (and have sung his praises on my blog before), and my personal go-to pairing of oysters and crispy pig ear salad is hard to top – though I have to admit, the perfectly medium rare burger my boyfriend tucked into this past weekend found me stealing more than one small bite, along with a handful of thrice-cooked chips! Whether starting or ending a night in its warm red booths, The Pikey embodies the ideal combination of British classics and modern finesse, and is a restaurant I gladly consider to be a home away from home -- and I highly recommend booking ahead on OpenTable to guarantee a seat (they made snagging a 9:00 Saturday night reservation a breeze)!
