Poison Candy Apples

Candy apples seem to embody autumn -- depending on their topping, to me, they nearly rival a decadent apple pie! Since today is National Candy Apple Day in addition to Halloween, of course, I whipped up these traditional caramel apples and fell in love with this darkly spooky adaptation of a Poison Candy Apple as well, which with just a simple bit of black food coloring transforms this delectable dessert into a tempting delight fit for any wicked witch!
