The Bazaar by José Andrés - Beverly Hills
The Bazaar by José Andrés is one of my favorite restaurants in the city for special occasions -- ranging from their New Year's Eve masquerades to celebrating the ideal birthday dinner. Chef Andrés is a master of refined yet whimsical molecular gastronomy (my favorite dish, funny enough, is his two-bite interpretation of a "Philly Cheesesteak," with air bread, cheddar, wagyu beef), and his superlative weaving of flavors is remarkably delicious. Simple ingredients like mushrooms and cream become a stand-out dish when paired with a fried egg, especially when ordered with additional seared foie gras. The restaurant is darkly romantic, eclectically decorated, endlessly delicious, and always wonderful.
