Mini Fabergé Easter Egg Cake
Christine McConnell’s cookbook Deceptive Desserts: A Lady’s Guide to Baking Bad can always be relied upon when it comes to finding inspiration for seasonal, elaborately assembled, delicious sweets. Going into Easter weekend, I figured taking a crack at her Fabergé Egg Cake would be a blast, and though I didn't endeavor to make my decorating of the cake nearly as delicate and ornate as hers, I think it turned out perfectly charming! As always, I'll refrain from transcribing her recipe (because I fervently believe that everyone should own this book!), but I think the pictures speak for themselves!
