Conveniently located on my drive home from work, SimpleThings Sandwich & Pie Shop's 3rd Street location is just the ticket when I'm craving lovely food that has a true "homemade" feel to it - without the hassle of having to actually make it myself! Giant sandwiches (I'm a Fried Chix girl -- with added bleu cheese and Buffalo Memphis sauce of course), fresh salads, and savory pot pies are perfect when paired with tasty sides like roasted Brussels sprouts and sundried tomato quinoa. With surprise messages like "You Make Good Choices" printed on the inside of their take-out boxes and the reminder "Life Is Short, Enjoy the SimpleThings" emblazoned on their uniform t-shirts, positive reinforcement and a slice of freshly baked pie are the perfect way to end a work day for me! I tend to gravitate towards the Chef's special seasonal pies -- on my most recent dining experience, that meant Chipotle Pumpkin...which means SimpleThings truly does know the way to this spice and pumpkin lover's heart!
