Eggnog Ice Cream

Eggnog Ice Cream

As always, I’m super excited to kick off a spooky December filled with Nightmare Before Christmas-inspired treats. Though I never grew up enjoying eggnog, I’ve since come to love it (and what’s better than a seasonal flavor of ice cream!). Though I’d intended to create the entire topper of this treat out of marzipan and fondant, I did ultimately craft the little creatures out of decorated edible paper!

Eggnog Ice Cream

2 cups eggnog
2 cups heavy cream
10 oz sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp vanilla extract

Mix eggnog, heavy cream, condensed milk, and vanilla in a large bowl. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer's directions until it reaches "soft-serve" consistency. Transfer ice cream to a one- or two-quart lidded plastic container; cover surface with plastic wrap and seal. For best results, ice cream should ripen in the freezer for at least 2 hours or overnight.
